Please Note: Phone lines close at 1pm on Thursdays
On Thursday 1-6.30pm and Friday 6-6.30pm the phone lines are diverted to an ICB approved subcontracting service (Primary Care Sheffield) who provide an equivalent service to that offered by the practice.
If you need urgent medical help but it is not a
life-threatening emergency:
- Visit 111.nhs.uk or call 111.
- NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They can offer advice, prescribe medication, or direct you to the nearest out-of-hours clinic.
In a life-threatening emergency:
- Call 999 or visit your nearest A&E department immediately.

Our phone lines are incredibly busy between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. If your call is not urgent, please try calling after 10:30 am.
Accessibility
Our surgery is fully accessible for wheelchair users. We have a ramp at the front entrance, automatic doors, and a disabled parking bay available right outside the main entrance.
Where else to get help out of hours
Information, advice and treatment of minor illnesses is available from nurses at the NHS Walk-in Centre from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm. This is based at Broad Lane.
The Minor Injuries Unit is also open from 8.00 am – 8.00 pm specifically for the treatment of minor injuries, and is located in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (Claremont Place entrance).
Both services are open all year, seven days a week including the Christmas and New Year period. You do not need to make an appointment.
We are also able to offer appointments at several ‘hub practices’ via Primary Care Sheffield. More information can be found by clicking the image below.
Your dentist
For all out-of-hours dental services ring 111. who will be able to advise you about self-care, or the next available treatment session, as appropriate. This service is for existing practice patients as well as those without a regular dentist or visitors and students.
There are no out of hours dental services available at the Northern General Hospital or the Children’s Hospital but dental emergencies e.g. acute mouth bleeding, severe infection with swelling or injury to the mouth should be seen at the Northern General Hospital or the Sheffield Children’s Hospital as appropriate.
